Job summary

The Cloud Operations Engineer role is essential for maintaining high availability GPS correction services through cloud and automation technologies. Responsibilities include managing compliance, guiding legacy system migrations to the cloud, and implementing IAM and security best practices in AWS and Azure, utilizing tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in AWS and Azure Cloud Services
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container operations
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform
• Exposure to configuration management tools like Ansible
• Willingness to learn and develop skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Assess new provider capabilities and enable them on our platform
• Design and implement solutions leveraging automation and infrastructure as code
• Manage compliance through tagging, backups, and patching
• Resolve complex technical issues with vendors
• Advise on well-architected principles and best practices
• Guide migration of legacy systems to the cloud
• Encourage new technologies in the cloud and provide training
• Design and maintain IAM and security best practices in AWS and Azure
• Automate and optimize processes for efficiency
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
