Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer (Azure & Kubernetes)

Job summary

The Cloud Platform and DevOps Engineer manages and operates application platforms and resilient infrastructure for international clients in a multi-cloud environment, primarily Microsoft Azure and AWS. The role covers Docker image management, Kubernetes deployments, Python and Bash automation, Apache Airflow workflows, Linux administration, Datadog monitoring, and production incident response. It also supports secure operations through runbook maintenance, production fix testing, and incident tracking with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Platform Engineer
• Hands-on experience creating Docker images and managing Kubernetes deployments
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Unix/Linux administration and Python and Bash scripting skills
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools and Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration platforms
• Experience with ITSM and task tracking tools, including shift-based support for global teams
• Proof of the right to work in the UK
• Ability to obtain SC clearance
• Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible and CI/CD tools

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and manage Docker images; deploy, scale, and maintain Kubernetes applications
• Design, provision, and maintain resilient infrastructure on Azure and AWS
• Write and maintain Python and Bash automation scripts
• Configure, monitor, and maintain Apache Airflow pipelines
• Administer Linux systems, monitor reliability with Datadog, and resolve production incidents
• Support global clients and track incidents and tasks using ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
• Maintain operational runbooks, test production fixes, and follow security policies
