Cloud Platform Engineer

Job summary

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate a modern AWS cloud platform that supports large-scale data processing, machine learning, APIs, and web applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS production workloads
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking, and security
• Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms in AWS
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Knowledge of observability and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure patterns
• Build and optimise cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven architectures
• Design and maintain secure cloud networking patterns
• Implement and improve security controls
• Design and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows
• Partner with Product Engineers
• Implement and maintain monitoring and operational tooling
• Support deployment of machine learning and AI services
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues
• Identify opportunities to improve automation and efficiency
