Job summary

The Intermediate Cloud Platform Engineer at Manulife will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that support business applications and enterprise platform services. This role involves streamlining operations, enabling automation, and contributing to cloud modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 3 - 6 years IT industry experience
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of server infrastructure and cloud computing principles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Solid grasp of cloud networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
• Hands-on experience automating infrastructure provisioning and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of IT security principles and public cloud security controls.
• Experience writing code or scripts for automation.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deploy scalable cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.
• Develop innovative, cloud-centric solutions and document platform designs.
• Maintain a highly available server and infrastructure environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within cloud platforms.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate tests for IaaS cloud systems.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization for cloud infrastructure.
• Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Contribute to automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning and monitoring.
