Job summary

The Cloud & Platform Engineer role focuses on developing cloud-native solutions to advance the energy transition. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing Kubernetes and AWS/EKS environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and managing CI/CD pipelines and container deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree in (Media) Computer Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline development and container management (Docker)
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL/Aurora and understanding of Temporal
• Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals and modern cloud architectures
• Fluent in German (minimum C1) for documentation and technical exchange

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize Kubernetes and AWS/EKS environments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Configure and manage TEST, INT, and PROD environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate container deployments
• Set up and configure relational database structures (Aurora PostgreSQL) and workflow engines (Temporal)
• Manage secrets and system configurations in the cloud
• Establish modern deployment and rollback standards
