Job summary

Leads enterprise-scale cloud platform engineering programmes that provide the infrastructure, automation and operational foundations for demanding data and AI workloads. The role covers AI-ready architecture, AIOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, resilience and FinOps across Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake. It also sets technical standards, mentors engineering teams and advances AI-augmented and agentic operations practices.

• Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code skills, such as Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD platforms
• Experience with AIOps, observability, intelligent monitoring or self-healing platforms
• Cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and policy-as-code experience
• Ability to design production platforms for GenAI, machine learning and agentic workloads
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and their platform, operations and governance implications

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platform programmes
• Design and oversee AI-ready platform environments for GenAI, machine learning and agentic workloads
• Implement AIOps, intelligent monitoring, automated incident response and self-healing infrastructure
• Design CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment pipelines, automated testing and operational automation
• Establish and govern Infrastructure as Code practices at scale
• Lead platform security, networking and compliance engineering
• Design for resilience, FinOps and performance optimisation
• Develop platforms for autonomous and human-in-the-loop operations
• Mentor platform engineering teams and establish technical standards
• Develop propositions, accelerators and reusable platform assets
