Cloud Platform Engineering Specialist

Job summary

This role leads the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise-scale cloud platforms supporting data and AI workloads, including GenAI, machine learning, and agentic systems. Responsibilities span Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Snowflake, with a focus on AIOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, governance, resilience, and FinOps. The role also sets engineering standards and mentors teams in AI-augmented platform delivery.

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms across one or more listed cloud or data platforms
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar
• Experience with AI-assisted Infrastructure as Code generation and governance
• Experience designing CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment and test automation
• Experience with AIOps, platform observability, intelligent monitoring, or self-healing operations
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and policy-as-code
• Ability to design production platforms for GenAI, machine learning, and agentic workloads
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and setting technical direction
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and their platform, operations, and governance implications

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale cloud platform programmes across cloud and data platforms
• Architect AI-ready environments for compute, networking, storage, and security needs
• Implement intelligent monitoring, automated incident response, and self-healing infrastructure
• Design CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment pipelines and automated testing
• Establish and govern Infrastructure as Code practices, including AI-assisted generation and review
• Lead platform security, networking, compliance, and policy-as-code engineering
• Improve platform resilience, cost efficiency, and performance using telemetry and observability
• Develop platforms and governance for autonomous and human-in-the-loop operations
• Mentor engineering teams and establish technical standards
• Contribute to propositions, accelerators, and reusable platform assets
