Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support roles
- Hands-on Windows Server and/or Linux administration experience
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, security groups)
- Scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash
- Familiarity with Git and automation concepts
- Experience working in SLA-driven managed services environments
- Comfortable with on-call and production support
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to follow structured operational processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- Exposure to Terraform or configuration management tools
- Basic Kubernetes experience (AKS, EKS, or GKE)
- Entry-level cloud certifications (Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps, GCP Associate)
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for client cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Monitor infrastructure health using centralized monitoring tools and respond to alerts per documented procedures
- Perform routine operational tasks such as VM provisioning, resizing, decommissioning, OS restarts, and scheduled maintenance
- Maintain platform stability and availability through proactive health checks
- Handle incidents, service requests, and changes through ITSM tools in line with SLAs
- Troubleshoot Windows and Linux OS and cloud infrastructure issues
- Follow escalation paths and engage senior engineers when required
- Participate in on-call rotations and shift-based support models
- Ensure accurate and complete ticket updates and documentation
- Perform OS patching and security updates
- Validate patching outcomes and remediate failures using runbooks
- Assist with compliance-driven operational activities and audit evidence
- Execute and maintain existing automation scripts
- Develop simple PowerShell or Bash scripts to reduce manual effort
- Assist with Infrastructure as Code deployments using tools such as Terraform
- Contribute to runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
- Execute approved IAM tasks including user, group, and role changes
- Apply least-privilege and security controls
- Support basic cost hygiene activities
- Executes repeatable operational tasks independently
