Job summary

The Container Platform Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining container orchestration infrastructure for naval combat systems, requiring expertise in containerization technologies, Linux operating systems, and automation scripting.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
• Willingness to work in a CUI development environment onsite
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ansible
• Familiarity with YAML configuration practices
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Understanding of system of systems concepts
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain container orchestration infrastructure using Kubernetes
• Design and implement Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, YAML, Bash, and Python
• Support integration of containerized combat system components
• Participate in technical meetings and provide expertise
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
• Support rapid iteration and deployment cycles
• Collaborate with systems engineering and development teams
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems
• Support transition to microservices-based architectures
• Ensure solutions meet security requirements
