CyberCX - Cloud Operations Engineer

Job summary

Provides operational support for customer cloud environments across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Microsoft 365 in a managed services environment. The role delivers Level 2 and Level 3 support, resolves incidents and service requests, monitors availability, performance and security, and conducts root cause analysis. It also supports cloud improvements, automation and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, CloudFormation and Python.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365 or Google Cloud
• Experience delivering cloud support or services in a managed services environment
• Understanding of incident management, service monitoring and SLA-driven support
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, firewalls and multi-cloud security
• Experience with automation, scripting or infrastructure as code
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams
• Australian citizenship and ability to hold an Australian Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain customer cloud environments across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for incidents, service requests and escalations
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements
• Monitor cloud availability, performance and security
• Align cloud environments with security best practices and compliance requirements
• Identify performance and cost optimisation opportunities
• Use automation and infrastructure as code tools
• Work with customers to understand needs and deliver service outcomes
• Contribute to service improvements and knowledge base documentation
