Job summary
Build and operate cloud-native digital products and backend services for clients, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership and a focus on efficient, low-complexity solutions. Work across synchronous API, message-driven, and event-driven integrations using technologies such as Java, React, TypeScript, Python, AWS, and Azure. Apply responsible AI-assisted engineering and reliability practices, including meaningful SLIs and SLOs, observability, incident response, and post-incident reviews.

Qualifications
- Experience building backend services across synchronous API, message-driven, and event-driven integration paradigms
- Fluency in at least one of Java, React, TypeScript, or Python
- Recent experience building, deploying, and running cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure
- Experience working in DevOps teams using industry-standard practices
- Experience producing repeatable automated tests
- Hands-on Generative AI experience or active personal Generative AI projects
- Ability to understand AI model limitations and protect client data
- Comfort adapting to new domains, roles, and technology stacks
Responsibilities
- Build client digital products and backend services hands-on
- Lead and support engineers in delivering technical work
- Propose efficient solutions with low complexity
- Use AI-assisted practices for code, tests, documentation, and analysis while protecting client data
- Design operable services measured by meaningful SLIs and SLOs
- Implement logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and actionable alerting
- Contribute to or lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews
- Contribute to engineering communities and share technical knowledge
