Job summary
The Data & AI Platform Engineer role focuses on building and scaling a data and AI platform that supports property technology services. Key responsibilities include improving data pipelines, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring production reliability while working with technologies such as Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications
- Proficient in production code writing, testing, debugging in Python, Java, Go, Scala, C#, TypeScript or similar
- Strong SQL and relational modeling skills
- Experience building and running modern data platforms
- Deep production experience on major public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience modernizing legacy systems incrementally
- Ownership of production reliability including monitoring and incident investigation
- Experience handling security, governance and data quality
- Support for data scientists and ML engineers with large datasets
- Collaborative and open to feedback
- Initiative and architectural thinking
- Experience with real data volume and scaling challenges
Responsibilities
- Build high-performance data and AI platforms behind property technology services
- Work hands-on across the codebase, data pipelines, databases and cloud infrastructure
- Assess existing systems against performance, freshness, reliability, security and cost
- Modernise legacy components incrementally without disrupting production
- Improve data acquisition, ingestion and serving across various feeds
- Define canonical data models and shared identifiers for key entities
- Make property assets usable by products and AI workloads
- Build automated testing, deployment, observability and recovery into the platform
- Create reusable components and documented patterns for engineering teams
- Share knowledge through documentation and collaboration with engineers
- Work closely with data scientists and product teams to translate business priorities
