Qualifications
- A College Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Database Administration supporting production systems
- AWS Databases: Amazon RDS, Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL), self-managed DBs on EC2
- Database Engines: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server (one or more)
- Monitoring & Performance: CloudWatch, Performance Insights, query analysis tools
- Backup & Recovery: Automated backups, snapshots, point-in-time recovery, DR testing
- Security: IAM integration, encryption, secrets management
- Automation & IaC: Terraform / CloudFormation exposure preferred
