Qualifications
- Some experience building and operating production data pipelines
- Working knowledge of Scala, Kotlin, or Python
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Comfortable with Kafka Connect, schema registries, and distributed systems
- Collaborative approach
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain services in Kafka Connect and streaming pipeline
- Contribute to extending the bronze streaming layer across the growing table catalogue
- Help implement data contracts and freshness checks on streaming datasets
- Take part in the team's support rota
- Write clear documentation and contribute to design discussions
- Pair with senior engineers on complex pieces of the streaming framework
