Data Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Data Platform Engineer role involves designing, building, and enhancing a cloud-based data platform for a financial services firm. Responsibilities include contributing to the architecture of cloud data components, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform, dbt, and Airflow.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Snowflake and solid data engineering fundamentals.
• Good level of Python and/or Java.
• Experience with SDLC tools: Git, JIRA, Artifactory, GitHub.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the end-to-end architecture and design of cloud data platform components, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and solution designs.
• Design reusable components for data ingestion, transformation and distribution.
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Partner with architecture, security, data governance and other stakeholders to strengthen regulatory compliance and platform reliability.
