Data Platform Engineer Working Student (m/w/d)

Job summary

Support design and implementation of Databricks-native data platforms and contribute to data governance concepts.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student in IT-related field.
• Good knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks and/or cloud data platforms is a plus.
• Interest in Data Lakehouse, Data Governance, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• Basic understanding of data modeling and integration processes.
• Experience with Git and version control is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and structured, with teamwork and communication skills.
• Very good German and English skills (minimum C1 level in both languages).
• Ability to work at least 50% on-site in Cologne or Munich.

Responsibilities

• Support design and build of Databricks-native data platforms.
• Contribute to implementation of Medallion architectures.
• Assist in building data governance concepts.
• Help automate deployments with Databricks Asset Bundles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support development of data quality frameworks and monitoring.
• Contribute to technical documentation of platform architectures.
• Engage in internal tooling and demonstrator projects.
