The Data Platform Engineering Manager at TD is responsible for designing, building, and operating the enterprise technology reference data platform, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in data engineering or related technology roles.
• 5+ years leading engineering or platform teams in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data lakes or cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience building APIs and modern integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Understanding of DataOps, observability, and platform operations.
• Experience in regulated organizations with governance and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the Databricks-based technology reference data platform.
• Develop platform standards, engineering patterns, and operating procedures.
• Establish a modern data ecosystem for governance, reporting, analytics, and AI-driven use cases.
• Drive platform modernization initiatives for performance, automation, and user experience.
• Lead onboarding of technology systems into the enterprise data platform.
• Design and implement scalable integration patterns including APIs and data streaming.
• Establish standards for source system connectivity and data movement.
• Design, build, and manage data pipelines for standardized enterprise data assets.
• Implement automated controls for data quality and integrity.
• Establish monitoring capabilities for platform health and data reliability.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Support development of technology data products.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers and specialists.
