Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a combined DevOps and Data Engineering role.
- Proven experience managing production environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for GCP infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation pipelines in Jenkins.
- High proficiency in SQL (BigQuery dialect) and Python.
- Some experience with Java is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with Looker development (LookML) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain Terraform scripts to provision BigQuery datasets, Cloud Storage buckets, IAM roles, and compute resources.
- Implement fine-grained access control and column-level security in BigQuery.
- Monitor GCP resource utilization and optimize BigQuery compute and storage costs.
- Code automated ETL/ELT pipelines to load diverse data sources into BigQuery.
- Design and manage deployment workflows using Jenkins for data pipeline testing.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to optimize BigQuery schemas and performance.
- Set up Cloud Monitoring and Logging for Jenkins job statuses and pipeline health.
