Database Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Database Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, automating, and supporting enterprise database platforms in cloud and on-premises environments. This role focuses on deploying and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra, while developing automated installation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to enhance database operations and ensure high availability and security.

Qualifications

• extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra
• strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure
• DevOps experience
• expertise in automation
• ability to build and maintain secure and resilient database environments

Responsibilities

• design, install, automate, administer, tune performance, ensure security, and provide operational support for enterprise database platforms
• develop automated installation and configuration scripts for SQL Server environments
• build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for database infrastructure management
• create standardized database deployment templates and automation frameworks
• develop CI/CD deployment pipelines for database releases and platform changes
• automate database provisioning, patching, upgrades, backups, health checks, monitoring, and disaster recovery validation
