Google Cloud Architect / Lead Platform Engineer

Job summary

Lead the architecture, security, and hands-on delivery of approximately 15 enterprise-grade Google Cloud platform components ahead of a major go-live. Build scalable GCP foundations and modular Terraform infrastructure, guide zero-trust security reviews, automate CI/CD workflows, and implement observability across cloud workloads using technologies such as GKE, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry, and New Relic.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise-scale GCP implementations as a senior cloud architect or principal platform engineer.
• Ability to combine architectural design with hands-on Terraform development, network configuration, and pipeline debugging.
• Expertise in zero-trust architecture, GCP IAM, KMS, Secret Manager, Workload Identity, and enterprise network security.
• Advanced Terraform, GitOps, GitHub Actions, Python, and Bash skills.
• Ability to create structured solution design documents and architectural diagrams.
• Professional Google Cloud certification, such as Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and build approximately 15 enterprise platform component solutions.
• Partner with security architects to apply threat-modeling feedback and meet governance controls.
• Design and provision resilient GCP foundations, including network topologies.
• Build production-ready Terraform modules using GitOps and Cloud Foundation Fabric patterns.
• Create automated build and release workflows using cloud CI/CD services and scripting.
• Implement telemetry, auditability, and operational visibility across GKE and GCP workloads.
• Produce solution design documents and architectural blueprints.
