Deskside Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Unum is seeking a Deskside Infrastructure Engineer to enhance the technology experience of employees by providing Level 2 support for desktop, endpoint, and workplace technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting desktop and endpoint technologies.
• Experience with Windows environments and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of endpoint management and software deployment.
• Experience with monitoring and service management tools.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused support.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for desktop, endpoint, and workplace technology platforms.
• Support Windows-based infrastructure, user devices, software deployment, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health.
• Support security initiatives including patching and compliance activities.
• Develop and maintain automation and technical documentation.
• Participate in incident and change management processes.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and improve technology.
