Development Operations Technician

Job summary

Assist various departments in creating scripts or tools for process automation and data collection. Involves deployment, development, and maintenance of physical and cloud infrastructure, and testing new devices for the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ SNMP experience, basic routing and wireless experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience or training in Python, HTML, CSS, JAVA, Bash, and other programming languages.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Linux, Windows, and other operating systems.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with computer and server hardware or cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain device models for monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Field, and NOC teams for monitoring and data collection.
• Develop and maintain scripts/tools for process automation.
• Assist in deployment and maintenance of physical or cloud infrastructure.
• Manage datacenter and deploy physical servers and hardware.
• Serve as subject matter expert for network operation and infrastructure devices.
• Create standards for configuration and use of devices.
• Test devices before network integration.
• Support data operations team in device data collection.
• Document code and work according to standard operating procedures.
• Assist in development of SOP documentation and training.
• Follow standards for software documentation and code backup.
• Track and report on projects.
