Job summary

The Platform Engineer role involves designing and developing custom infrastructure tools, including CLIs and automation components, primarily using Go and Python. Key responsibilities include developing advanced Kubernetes extensions, interacting with Kubernetes APIs, and deploying solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure while adhering to best software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in infrastructure-oriented software development (Platform Engineering, DevTools, SRE) with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go for low-level/Cloud Native tool development, complemented by good Python skills for scripting and automation.
• Solid expertise in Kubernetes (K8s): mastery of cluster architecture, Kubernetes API functionality, and CRD/Operator creation.
• Excellent understanding of Linux fundamentals (system, network, containerization) and proven experience in public or private cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
• Software Engineer mindset: commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code for infrastructure performance.
• Curiosity for the Cloud Native ecosystem, autonomy, and ability to communicate with diverse technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom infrastructure tools, CLIs, and automation components in Go and Python.
• Develop and maintain advanced Kubernetes extensions (CRDs, K8s Operators) using Go.
• Interact with Kubernetes APIs to orchestrate and automate cluster capabilities.
• Create tooling, processing, and automation scripts in Python.
• Deploy and run developments in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack) and Linux.
• Apply best software engineering practices (clean code, unit/integration tests, CI/CD, documentation) to infrastructure challenges.
• Collaborate with Ops and Dev teams to evolve the platform and simplify containerized environment operations.
