DevOps / Build & Delivery Engineer

Job summary

Own and improve the build and release infrastructure for a platform combining a native C++/Qt editor, a Python AI stack, and a headless media runtime. The role focuses on speeding up CI, maintaining build caches and pinned dependencies, and delivering dependable desktop releases through macOS packaging, signing, notarization, updates, and traceable artifacts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CI and build systems for substantial C++ or desktop software.
• Familiarity with CMake, Ninja, compiler caching, and GitHub Actions or comparable systems.
• Experience delivering macOS software, including signing, notarization, packaging, and updates.
• Strong scripting and debugging skills across build tools, operating systems, and dependency environments.
• Understanding of credentials, permissions, and artifact integrity in CI and release systems.
• Measure before optimizing and make failures understandable to other engineers.
• Experience with Windows or Linux delivery, embedded Python, GPU or media dependencies, or infrastructure as code is useful.

Responsibilities

• Own CI workflows and build infrastructure across components and supported platforms.
• Measure and improve CI stages, including queueing, setup, dependency preparation, compilation, testing, and artifact handling.
• Maintain pinned toolchains, dependencies, caches, and reusable build outputs.
• Manage desktop packaging, signing, notarization, release channels, updates, and recovery to a known-good version.
• Make hotfix delivery dependable and measurable, from approved fix to verified installation.
• Maintain traceability between source revisions, build recipes, symbols, and delivered artifacts.
• Coordinate release candidates and delivery checks with Quality and Release teams, and crash-reporting integration with application engineers.
• Improve developer workflows with scripts, tools, and agent-assisted diagnosis.
• Track runner, storage, and build costs and recommend infrastructure changes based on measured needs.
