DevOps & Build Engineer

Job summary

Offworld Industries Ltd is seeking a versatile DevOps & Build Engineer to design and maintain build pipelines for Unreal Engine projects while managing and securing cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The role emphasizes automation, collaboration with game teams, and ensuring efficient deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production-level experience as a DevOps or Cloud Engineer
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD build systems (e.g., Jenkins)
• Solid experience managing cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Advanced skills in Python for automation
• In-depth knowledge of Perforce
• Experience in deploying and managing virtualized resources and containers
• Solid foundation in deploying/administering Linux and Windows Server environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving attitude and initiative
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT discipline

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve Unreal-Engine-based build pipelines and automation tools
• Improve, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot studio cloud (AWS) and on-premise infrastructure
• Champion automation to solve build, testing, and deployment challenges
• Coordinate and manage build and deployment workflows for multiple products
• Expand monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
• Act as the primary point of contact for critical build and infrastructure incidents
• Collaborate with game teams to optimize build pipelines
• Stay current with new technologies and champion software development best practices
