Job summary
As a DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer, responsible for migration, deployment, and rollout of applications on the ODC cloud platform, and development and maintenance of automated test cases.
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, or equivalent technical training with relevant work experience
- Experience in open-source environments, ideally with contributions or projects on GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms
- Experience in implementing and automating CI/CD processes
- Experience in software deployment and integration of complex applications
- Experience in creating automated testing procedures and software validation
- Experience with version control systems and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Strong Linux and Kubernetes skills
- Experience with Git, GitHub or GitLab, XML, JSON, and Jinja
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Ideally experience with Enterprise Architecture tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect
- Desirable knowledge of various hardware architectures (ARM, RISC-V, x86)
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus
- Fluent in German (at least C1) and good in English (at least B1)
Responsibilities
- Migration, deployment, and rollout of applications on the ODC cloud platform
- Development and maintenance of automated test cases for validation of deployments and software functions
- Integration of test cases in CI/CD pipelines using Git, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes
- Administration and optimization of container-based cloud environments
- Analysis and evaluation of software solutions
- Conducting code audits and creating or adjusting software patches
- Support for automation of build, test, and deployment processes
- Creation and maintenance of technical and operational documentation
- Collaboration with development, infrastructure, and architecture teams for platform improvement
- Support for introduction of new technologies and software components
