DevOps & Developer Infrastructure Engineer*

Job summary

Valentum Engineering is seeking an experienced DevOps and Developer Infrastructure Engineer for an agile development team focused on secure communication products, specifically tactical radio communication systems. The role involves supporting the entire software development lifecycle, automating release build processes, and collaborating with other development teams on CI/CD topics.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in software development and DevOps
• Genuine interest in state-of-the-art software solutions
• Profound knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Practical experience with Python, CI/CD tools (Git / GitLab), Docker, CMake, Grafana, and databases
• Strong interest in new technologies
• Ability to quickly grasp complex topics and communicate them clearly
• Experience with the Rust programming language is an advantage
• Fluent in German and very good English skills

Responsibilities

• Support the entire software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and quality metrics for secure communication products (tactical radio communication)
• Develop code and scripts to automate the release build process for increased speed, reliability, and repeatability
• Take on Scrum team work packages within agreed time and cost specifications
• Coordinate collaboration with other development teams on CI/CD topics and provide interdisciplinary support
• Conduct code reviews to promote knowledge exchange within the team and drive continuous improvements
• Monitor current technology trends and proactively introduce new ideas and improvements for solution development
