Job summary
The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud deployment frameworks that support engineering teams. The role manages build and release environments, automates provisioning and deployments, and improves reliability and developer productivity using Terraform, Kubernetes (RKE2 and AKS), ArgoCD, GitOps, and Grafana. It also includes troubleshooting deployment and infrastructure issues, documenting processes, and joining an on-call rotation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Build and Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as C#, Java, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Bash
- Working experience with Azure and/or AWS
- Working experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform
- Ability to administer Windows Server and/or Linux systems
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and resolve them with limited direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with engineers outside the DevOps organization
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
- Build and manage infrastructure with Terraform and infrastructure as code practices
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment for supported services
- Manage build and release environments, including virtual machines, containers, and cloud resources
- Deploy and maintain services with Kubernetes, RKE2, AKS, ArgoCD, and GitOps practices
- Monitor system performance, scalability, availability, and security with Grafana dashboards and alerts
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure issues, and deployment failures
- Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Participate in the on-call rotation after an initial ramp-up period
