Job summary
The DevOps Engineer bridges development and platform teams to improve software architecture, operational reliability, and scalability in an e-commerce environment. Responsibilities include implementing CI/CD pipelines, advancing container virtualization and infrastructure management, automating tests and integrations, and integrating security controls into development and operations. The role works with Linux and may involve Python, Puppet, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications
- Several years of programming and debugging experience in a scripting language, preferably Python
- Strong Linux and configuration management knowledge; Puppet experience preferred
- Experience with server and network administration and monitoring tools
- Experience with virtualization
- Ability to deliver work from concept to completion and support reliable operations
- Experience operating databases for large datasets with high availability, preferably Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL
- Experience with distributed systems and large datasets
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Solution-oriented approach and good communication skills
- German proficiency of at least B2; English is an advantage
- Agile mindset and decisiveness
Responsibilities
- Bridge development and platform teams to improve software architecture, reliability, and scalability
- Take on system-level tasks to reduce operational work for development teams
- Implement, manage, and release CI/CD pipelines
