DevOps Engineer CI/CD - Digital Government

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer will ensure fast and smooth deployments across internal stages and pipelines, maintain and develop Gitlab Pipelines, and advise on containerization of modern web applications. The role involves standardizing and automating build, test, and deployment processes while adhering to high quality and strict data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, ideally in Computer Science, or comparable training (IT specialist)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying large software applications, preferably with Gitlab
• Knowledge of Linux, preferably on Redhat systems
• Experience with versioning software applications, preferably with Git
• Experience with orchestrating container applications, preferably with Kubernetes
• Knowledge in programming and scripting
• Team and communication skills (at least B2 language level in German and English)
• Systematic, goal-oriented, and independent work approach

Responsibilities

• Ensure fast and smooth deployments across all internal stages and pipelines, and corresponding software deliveries
• Maintain and further develop Gitlab Pipelines
• Advise and support activities related to the containerization of modern web applications (microservices) and their operation
• Implement standardization and automation of build, test, and deployment processes, considering highest quality and strict data protection requirements
• Deploy applications via self-created HELM Charts
• Debug applications and provide 3rd level support
