Job summary
The DevOps Engineer builds and improves the automation and reliability of a production AWS and Kubernetes platform, helping engineering teams deliver features safely and smoothly. The role manages infrastructure with Terraform or OpenTofu, improves CI/CD and GitOps workflows, applies security practices, monitors production, and resolves issues through root-cause analysis. It also supports cluster upgrades and cost optimization, with no on-call procedures.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on AWS and Kubernetes experience in production.
- Experience planning or contributing to Kubernetes cluster upgrades and handling regressions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of AWS security fundamentals, including IAM, roles, and networking.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and production root-cause analysis.
- Experience working autonomously in a remote, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication skills and professional maturity.
- Good spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain development tools and cloud infrastructure.
- Automate and improve development and release processes.
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Apply security practices for identity and access management, networking, and secrets.
- Monitor production, investigate incidents, and identify root causes.
- Plan and support rolling releases, certificate rotations, database upgrades, and Kubernetes cluster upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, QA, and security teams.
- Participate in infrastructure planning and prioritization.
- Optimize infrastructure costs without reducing capacity or performance.
