DevOps Engineer

Job summary

FotoFinder Systems is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain their AWS-based cloud infrastructure, improve system reliability, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong knowledge in Linux administration, including shell scripting
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL/TLS, VPCs, load balancing)
• Practical experience with Amazon Web Services, especially: Amazon EKS, Amazon S3, Route 53, CloudWatch
• Experience deploying, operating, and scaling Kubernetes workloads
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Knowledge of deployment strategies like Blue/Green or Canary deployments
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL (MongoDB Atlas is a plus)
• Experience operating applications across multiple AWS regions
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cooperative, remote-first environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure
• Operate and continuously improve Kubernetes platform (Amazon EKS)
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Enhance system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance
• Implement deployment strategies like Blue/Green and Canary releases
• Manage infrastructure as code and automate operational tasks
• Monitor production systems and proactively resolve issues
• Optimize cloud costs while maintaining high availability
• Collaborate closely with developers to improve deployment processes
• Support secure and compliant cloud operations for healthcare applications
