DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Develops and maintains cloud infrastructure, systems, and customer-facing products for a data platform supporting the drug development industry, including data on drugs, clinical trials, deals, companies, and patents. The role focuses on Azure infrastructure, automated CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, monitoring, and incident response, while collaborating across teams to improve delivery processes and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and testing.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Knowledge of security best practices, tools, and standards.
• Experience with software infrastructure and development, through commercial employment and/or relevant education.
• Experience in the cloud-hosted software-as-a-service industry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure for digital products.
• Identify and deliver platform enhancements in line with the roadmap.
• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Secure systems and infrastructure according to industry standards.
• Establish monitoring and alerting procedures and respond promptly to incidents.
• Use infrastructure as code to support continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve digital products.
• Create documentation and share knowledge across the development team.
• Support the Technical Lead in improving processes and tools for robust, performant, and secure systems.
