DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work on multiple projects involving design and development for complex problems within SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platforms.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux Systems, OS hardening, secure systems, threat modeling
• AI first mindset
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals – algorithms and data structures
• Passionate about Operations
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
• Desire to constantly grow and learn new things
• Experience in overall architecture of software applications
• Designing and integrating software applications into overall architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple projects responsible for all stages of design and development for complex problems within SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platforms
• Manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software applications design and development
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines
• Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff members
• Manage and monitor systems to drive troubleshooting and resolutions
• Hands-on development of DevOps and automation tools using Python
• Understand all components of HPE Networking SD-WAN's product portfolio
• Identify repeatable patterns/tasks and automate them
• Develop and maintain User-Interface Full Stack applications
• Understand customer problems to build helpful tools
• Help scale Engineering Infrastructure to support growth
• Collaborate with team members in addressing operational issues
