DevOps Engineer II

Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer II to focus on individual tasks and small-scale automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2+ years of experience in DevOps or IT operations.
• Proficiency in basic scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
• Foundational understanding of Docker containerization.
• Basic understanding of AWS infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Bamboo.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS EC2 instances and VPC subnets.
• Focus on individual tasks and small-scale automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot failing build plans in GitHub Actions or Bamboo.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
• Participate in team collaboration and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Maintain up-to-date runbooks and technical documentation.
• Configure and maintain dashboards, logs, and alert thresholds.
• Perform initial triage and documentation of production or pipeline incidents.
• Help implement and verify basic security configurations.
