DevOps Engineer III

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer III builds, maintains, and optimizes secure, reliable infrastructure for mission-critical applications, focusing on AWS cloud services, automation, CI/CD, and production monitoring. The role designs deployment pipelines, troubleshoots production issues, leads deployments and migrations, and mentors junior colleagues. The technology environment includes Linux, Windows, IIS, AWS services, Bash, Chef, PowerShell, Python, Docker, Bamboo, and Octopus Deploy.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of Linux administration, Windows administration, and IIS management experience.
• At least 3 years of AWS experience, including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, CLI, Lambda, SQS, and DynamoDB.
• Deep knowledge of monitoring tools and advanced monitoring data analysis.
• Proficiency in Bash, Chef, PowerShell, Python, and XML.
• Experience with REST APIs, single-page applications, HTTP methods, headers, and response codes.
• Experience with Atlassian Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, MSBuild, NUnit, Git, Maven, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of firewall concepts, network connectivity, and XML configuration files.
• Strong interest in technology and automation.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize infrastructure for mission-critical applications.
• Design and administer CI/CD pipelines and automate AWS resource provisioning.
• Plan and implement cloud environments.
• Help developers troubleshoot server and application issues caused by environmental factors.
• Monitor production systems, resolve outages, and act on root cause analysis findings.
• Lead production deployments and migrations and provide off-hours support when needed.
• Mentor junior colleagues and improve operational efficiency and system performance.
