Job summary

The SRE/DevOps Engineer role involves standardizing and automating CI/CD processes while ensuring the operational integrity of the 'Digital Credentials' platform. Responsibilities include implementing monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana, managing infrastructure, and collaborating with software engineering teams to maintain system performance and security.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or technical training with relevant professional experience
• Solid practical experience in cloud environments and orchestration of container applications, ideally with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
• Good understanding of SRE principles and interest in practical implementation
• Knowledge of monitoring, debugging, and performance measurement tools
• Proficient in scripting and dynamic programming languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Go)
• Knowledge of Linux and version control of software applications, preferably with git
• Analytical, service-oriented work style and enjoyment of working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
• Very good German and/or English skills (at least C1) and willingness to be on-call (24/7)

Responsibilities

• Standardization and automation of CI/CD processes
• Implementation and management of monitoring and alerting environments (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Opsgenie)
• Ensuring smooth operation of the 'Digital Credentials' platform
• Maintaining availability, latency, performance, and capacity of production systems
• Infrastructure management for projects or products
• Designing and implementing security measures in collaboration with the IT security team
• Introducing and developing effective SRE practices and incident analysis and resolution (on-call duty)
