Job summary

VR Payment GmbH is seeking a DevOps Engineer to implement and develop platform solutions in hybrid environments, collaborating with system architects and managing Kubernetes-based platforms.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Cloud Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and deployment technologies
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
• Familiarity with API Management and message brokering
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Knowledge of security practices and IAM
• Practical experience with Shell/Bash and ideally Go or Python
• Understanding of Java and build processes is a plus
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in finance or enterprise
• Fluent in German and English

Responsibilities

• Implement technical architecture and platform standards with system architects
• Develop and maintain modern platform solutions in hybrid environments
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code approaches with Terraform and CloudFormation
• Implement GitOps, CI/CD, and deployment processes
• Manage Kubernetes-based platforms and container workloads
• Integrate and configure platform components like Kafka and Azure API Management
• Address network and security requirements such as VPN and IAM
• Develop monitoring and observability solutions with Prometheus and Grafana
• Analyze and resolve technical issues and conduct root cause analyses
• Automate and optimize deployment and operational processes
• Support audits and implement regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate in an agile environment using Scrum or Kanban
