DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer manages cloud infrastructure, hosting environments, servers, and network security to maintain the availability, performance, and security of digital platforms and internal systems. The role also supports deployments through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation, and maintains monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery. The infrastructure supports websites, digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and other business-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing cloud hosting environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools.
• Experience supporting high-traffic websites, digital publishing platforms, or content-heavy online environments preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, and incident response preferred.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and hosting environments for availability, reliability, and performance.
• Administer servers, operating systems, access permissions, and configurations.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network access controls, and security policies.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Monitor infrastructure, logging, and alerts; investigate and resolve incidents.
• Maintain backups and test disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Support websites, digital publishing platforms, content management systems, and other business-critical applications.
• Plan infrastructure capacity and technology upgrades, and optimize costs.
• Document infrastructure architecture, configurations, access controls, and operational procedures.
