Job summary

The DevOps Engineer role is essential for building, automating, and maintaining secure and scalable technology environments in the banking and financial-services sector. Responsibilities include designing DevOps and cloud environments, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure processes, and collaborating with development teams. Proficiency in Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code technologies, is crucial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible or similar IaC technologies.
• Good knowledge of Linux and networking.
• Experience with Git and modern software-development practices.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Dutch is considered a plus.
• Experience in banking, financial services, fintech or another regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Cloud and DevOps certifications, including Azure, AWS, Kubernetes or Terraform certifications, are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain reliable DevOps and cloud environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code.
• Support development teams with reliable deployment and development environments.
• Monitor performance, availability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to cloud migration and platform-modernisation initiatives.
• Work closely with developers, architects and security specialists.
• Continuously improve DevOps practices, automation and engineering standards.
