DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) Platform Services

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer will join the Developer Experience Team to expand the Application Operations Platform. Responsibilities include automating IT processes, evaluating new technologies, developing managed services, and providing technical consultation to product owners and software engineering teams. The role also involves planning and developing microservice architectures.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or IT technical vocational training with relevant professional experience
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and interest in their practical implementation
• Professional experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and deploying large software applications is advantageous
• Expertise in Docker/Kubernetes, ideally experience with Red Hat Openshift and Istio
• Basic knowledge of Java, Microservices architectures, and API design (REST, Messaging)
• Ideally, experience with logging (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana) and monitoring (Prometheus/Alertmanager, Grafana)
• Analytical, service-oriented work approach and enjoyment of working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the Developer Experience Team in expanding the Application Operations Platform
• Automate IT processes (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Automation)
• Perform administration and configuration tasks independently
• Evaluate new technologies and continuously educate in relevant areas
• Develop Managed Services to simplify development and operational processes
• Provide technical and technological consulting to Product Owner and Software Engineering Teams for product and project requirements
• Plan and develop Microservice Architectures
• Document work results and systems in ticketing and knowledge platforms
