DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

As a DevOps Engineer at Qvest, you will design and operate broadcast software products, managing complex hybrid infrastructures and automating deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in (Business) Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, or related field, or IT training
• Experience with Kubernetes in production
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, ideally with GitLab CI
• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Hetzner) and on-prem virtualization (Proxmox)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools is a plus
• Knowledge of security topics (e.g., secrets management, hardening) is a plus
• Understanding of media technologies (e.g., video streaming, real-time services) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Manage infrastructure as code
• Ensure system observability and stability with monitoring and alerting
• Design and implement custom infrastructures for broadcast and media projects
• Support development teams with deployments and troubleshooting
• Contribute to architecture, security, and standard decisions
