DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

This role operates and evolves central automation services and cloud-native platforms, with a focus on reliable, secure infrastructure. Responsibilities include orchestrating Kubernetes containers, automating recurring tasks, improving CI/CD pipelines using SRE and GitOps practices, building monitoring and logging with Grafana and OpenTelemetry, and responding to incidents. The stack includes Azure DevOps, OpenTofu or Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, and scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or business informatics, vocational training as an IT specialist, or equivalent IT qualification with relevant professional experience.
• Strong Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code experience with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Experience with GitOps using ArgoCD and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• SRE-oriented approach to monitoring and structured incident management.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• German proficiency at C1 level or higher and good English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve central automation services, including performance optimization.
• Orchestrate container platforms based on Kubernetes.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate recurring tasks.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using SRE principles and GitOps.
• Build proactive monitoring and logging with Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Analyze incidents, identify causes, and restore services.
