DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer role is centered on architecting and enhancing DevOps strategies to streamline development and operational processes. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient process flows, providing self-service solutions, and implementing security policies in deployment and operations, leveraging technologies such as Java EE, Ansible, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automation, deployment, and configuration management of complex software systems (Java EE)
• Knowledge of encryption, Active Directory/LDAP, SFTP, relational databases, XML/HTML, OOP
• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python), Ansible, container technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Practical knowledge of Linux (especially Red Hat), Tomcat/JBoss-WildFly, SOAP/REST
• Experience with Jira, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, ideally Bitbucket
• Experience with cloud and container technologies like AWS and Docker
• Knowledge of Windows environments (in addition to Red Hat Linux)
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Preferred: Open Text Intelligent Capture, Paradatec, SecCommerce or IBM UDCS
• German language proficiency at least C1

• Provide self-service solutions for standardized process handling
• Reduce manual efforts and improve processing quality
• Conduct knowledge transfer and maintain documentation
• Implement approval and security policies in deployment and operations
• Ensure system availability and performance through monitoring and incident management
• Implement security policies through secrets management
• Collaborate in cross-functional agile teams
