DevOps Engineer - Microsoft Toolchain (all gender)

Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in the Microsoft Toolchain to ensure adherence to architectural decisions, conduct static dependency analyses, and automate CI/CD pipelines for C#/C++ applications.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable
• Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft development platform (tooling, build, code analysis, CI/CD)
• Extensive and proven experience with Microsoft technologies
• Proficient in MSBuild, especially complex build scripts and custom targets and tasks
• Develop and integrate own Roslyn analyzers and code fixes
• Experience with gRPC in .NET environment
• Familiar with NuGet, including creating own packages and managing dependency conflicts
• Strong knowledge in C++ and C# focusing on platform, build, and tooling topics
• Strong understanding of software architecture, DevOps principles, and security best practices
• Enjoy working in a team and communicate confidently in German, good English skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to architectural decisions in Microsoft/.NET environment
• Conduct static dependency analyses for complex software systems
• Advise lead developers on product security requirements in code, build, and CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze and plan migration paths for updates of Visual Studio and Microsoft .NET platform
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines for C#/C++ applications
• Manage build, test, packaging (NuGet), deployment, analysis, and security processes within pipelines
• Develop strategies for integrating static code analyses and security checks into the development process
• Design and operate logging architectures (e.g., ELK, Splunk)
• Consider security aspects such as authentication, authorization, and encryption in all systems
