Job summary
The DevOps Engineer builds, supports and improves cloud platforms, infrastructure and software delivery across AWS and Google Cloud Platform. The role applies Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation to deliver secure, scalable and reliable systems, while strengthening observability, container platforms, incident response and developer experience in a regulated financial-services environment.

Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or a related technical role.
- Production experience operating and supporting cloud platforms, including strong AWS experience and hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience.
- Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash or a similar language.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, TeamCity or Bamboo.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or the ELK Stack.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and DevOps delivery methods.
- Experience supporting secure, reliable, scalable and highly available systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience participating in incident response in a high-availability environment.
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
- Clear communication, stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support scalable cloud solutions across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Develop reusable infrastructure modules, templates and technical documentation.
- Support cloud networking, identity and access management, platform security and governance.
- Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate software build, testing, deployment and release processes.
- Improve monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting.
- Contribute to reliability engineering, resilience testing and capacity planning.
- Support containerised workloads and administer Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in production incident response, root-cause analysis and service improvements.
- Support vulnerability management, patching, secrets management and compliance obligations.
- Improve automation, reliability, security, developer experience and delivery processes.
