Job summary
The DevOps Engineer at OMERS will be part of the Software Engineering team, focusing on improving application hosting, monitoring, automation, and operational capabilities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and container platforms
- Hands-on experience with Azure public cloud services
- Experience writing automation using Python or Shell
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to build technical relationships
- Ability to operate in an Agile environment
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and scaling cloud and container infrastructure
- Designing and maintaining automation for monitoring and operational workflows
- Partnering to improve reliability and operational efficiency
- Supporting migration of legacy applications to containerized platforms
- Analyzing technical issues related to performance and connectivity
- Working with teams to understand infrastructure impacts
- Applying best practices and remaining current on industry trends
