Job summary

The DevOps Engineer - On Premises Cloud role involves designing, setting up, and managing on-premises Kubernetes environments while automating infrastructure processes with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Key responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability and resilience of the container platform, and implementing security measures such as RBAC and Secrets Management.

• Experience with on-premises Kubernetes operations and container technologies like Docker, containerd, or CRI-O
• Proficient in building and operating CI/CD pipelines and monitoring & observability
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, RHEL, SLES, etc.)
• Knowledge in scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Go preferred), virtualization technologies, and networking (TCP/IP, Load Balancing, Ingress, Firewalls, DNS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) in regulated environments and Kubernetes storage systems
• Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) are a plus
• Team-oriented, responsible in operating critical systems, open to new technologies and projects, and enjoys using open-source tools

Responsibilities

• Design, set up, and operate on-premises Kubernetes environments with IaC tools
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of the container platform
• Integrate new services and microservices into Kubernetes, troubleshoot and optimize performance
• Implement security measures including RBAC, Secrets Management, and network policies
• Integrate and manage bare-metal storage solutions for Kubernetes and lifecycle management of clusters
• Collaborate with development teams to promote DevOps practices and document operational concepts
