Job description

Job Description: Quevera is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Herndon and Springfield, Virginia. In this role, you will manage secure cloud application deployments, maintain enterprise CI/CD infrastructure, and support production environments within the Intelligence Community. Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you will oversee application deployments across multiple environments, manage production change requests, maintain security and compliance documentation, and support cloud infrastructure utilizing modern DevOps practices. You'll leverage AWS technologies, containerized platforms, and automation tools to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions supporting critical national security missions. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to secure, high-performing infrastructure supporting enterprise mission operations. Job Responsibilities: Manage application deployments across multiple environments, including code releases, deployment troubleshooting, and environment-specific configurations. Own the Change Management (CHG) process for production deployments by preparing and submitting change requests, coordinating approvals through ISO, TESR, and Outage Board processes, and managing deployment schedules with stakeholders. Operate, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab CI to support automated application deployments. Maintain security and compliance documentation, including XACTA artifacts, TESR requirements, and enterprise security policies. Ensure compliance with National Security System (NSS) log retention requirements and security accreditation standards. Support AWS cloud infrastructure and services, including Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Systems Manager (SSM) Parameter Store, and Amazon S3. Manage containerized application deployments utilizing ECS, Docker, and related container orchestration technologies. Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations and deployment rollback procedures. Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, deployment efficiency, and operational performance. Support secure production environments within the Intelligence Community while adhering to established security and compliance requirements. Minimum Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required. Active customer clearance with the Springfield, VA customer. Green Badge required (may be obtained through customer crossover). Active SBU and COE customer accounts preferred; required upon program start. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting DevSecOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) within AWS or similar cloud environments. Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or comparable pipeline technologies. Experience deploying and managing containerized applications utilizing ECS, Docker, and container orchestration technologies. Experience supporting AWS cloud services, including Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Systems Manager (SSM) Parameter Store, and Amazon S3. Familiarity with DoD or Intelligence Community change management and security accreditation processes, including CHG submissions, RMF, and XACTA. Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and deployment rollback strategies. Must be willing to work onsite in a SCIF environment at the AWS Herndon or Springfield, VA customer site up to 100% of the work week. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) migrations or hybrid ECS/EKS environments. Familiarity with Springfield customer National Security System (NSS) enterprise requirements, including compliance and log retention policies. Experience deploying and supporting MCP servers. Experience working within the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem, including Lambda runtimes, dependency management, and layer packaging. AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty. Why Join Quevera?
