DevOps Engineer

Job summary

SAIC is seeking a full-time onsite DevOps Engineer in Hampton, VA to support the Air Operations Center Weapons System's Application Transformation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and nine years of experience or Master’s and seven years of experience
• One year of experience in software development or DevOps/DevSecOps
• Active Secret clearance
• Experience with Windows Server
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and PowerShell
• Experience with Git-based source code management tools
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity controls and remediation
• Familiarity with AWS and AWS CLI
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with automation orchestration tools like GitLab
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Build systems on virtual machine instances
• Apply cybersecurity controls
• Configure cloud resources for application functionality and compliance
• Support testing of cloud-hosted systems
• Build VM-based systems and support operations
• Monitor cybersecurity and implement remediation
• Develop automation code using various tools
• Execute and troubleshoot automated CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot issues with virtual machines and cloud configurations
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with the AppTX team and stakeholders
• Adhere to source code control processes
